ME/CFS specialist Paul Cheney, MD, PhD, reports he has documented food sensitivities in roughly 50 percent of cases of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, says Clinical Nutritionist Blake Graham. And a large proportion of Fibromyalgia patients suffer from food intolerances, though many do not know it. Graham believes an elimination diet is the best method of assessing food sensitivities, and has developed a protocol for patients with chronic illnesses that includes a preliminary step for CFS (and fibromyalgia) patients specifically. The protocol requires time and careful food label detective work. But the effort could be very beneficial for individuals who detect one or more potential troublemakers.
