Hi everyone,
You may have realised that our next scheduled meeting falls on Monday 4th June, which is the Queen’s birthday.
The meeting will therefore be held on Tuesday 5th June, at the Johnsonville Community Centre (Room 5) – starting at 12.30pm.
I hope you can join us for a cup of tea/coffee and a natter. It is a nice warm room, so do come along!

Just a reminder that our May meeting is coming up on Monday 7th at St Jude’s hall in Lyall Bay – starting at 12.30.
Autumn is definitely upon us, so wrap up warmly and come along for a chat and a warm cuppa. We do not have any speaker coming this time, so come along for some socialising!

Our April meeting is coming up on Monday 2nd April, so pop it in your diary and try and come along.
This month we are back in Johnsonville (Room 5 upstairs, Johnsonville Community Centre), starting at 12.30.
We have a guest speaker, Brenda Stickley, who will be talking to us about Feldenkrais. She will talk a little about the method, answer any questions we have, and then do a short Awareness through Movement lesson. This will be seated, and the movements are very slow and gentle, so come along and give it a try.

Our next support meeting is coming up on Monday 14th November, at 12.30.
We thought it would be nice to have a discussion about the activities we enjoy doing and which bring us pleasure. What, if any, adjustments have we had to make to continue doing them? So give it some thought, and come along and share! It could be anything – gardening, music, scrapbooking, dancing, etc. We may learn some interesting things about each other, or even discover shared hobbies.
If you would like to come along, but have no transport, please let me know and I will endeavour to arrange something for you. Likewise, if you are coming, and are able to offer someone a lift, also let me know.

Our next meting on the coming Monday 13 June will be an opportunity to meet our new Coordinator, Sandra Lallemand. Sandra has had previous experience working with an organisation like ours. There were several candidates for the job, but the selecting committee felt unanimously that Sandra was the top candidate and has great hopes for our future direction.
The meeting will be at the usual time 12:30 to 2:30pm, in the usual place, the hall behind St Judes Church, Freyberg St, Lyall Bay.

The next meeting of our Wellington Region ME/CFS Support Group will be held from 12:30 to 2:30pm on the coming Monday 14 March, in the usual venue, the hall behind St Judes Church, 68 Freyberg Street, Lyall Bay.
This will be an ordinary meeting, when we will have time to catch up with news from each other, meet and greet any new members or visitors and raise any matters that we would like to discuss.

The Wellington Region ME/CFS Support Group Inc. meeting for Monday 11th October 2010 will be held at St Jude’s Anglican Church, Freyberg Street, Lyalll Bay.
The Committee Meeting will begin at 12 noon, so Committee members please try to be on time.
Our guest speakers will be former Chairperson Dianne Cooper and Linda Deakin, both from the Kapiti Coast.
Their topic for the day will be “Giving hope to those newly diagnosed with ME, that there is life after ME“.
Their presentation will begin at 1 pm.
Members are requested to refrain from asking more than one or two questions as time is limited.

At our Annual General Meeting it was decided that for a trial period, if there is no guest speaker for a meeting a theme will be set for discussion. The theme will be decided on at the preceding meeting.
The theme for the meeting to be held on the coming Monday 13 September is “Dealing with WINZ”. We will be able to share our ideas and experiences, starting with Martin’s article in our newsletter and the letter published with it from Dr Bratt, the Principal Health Advisor at the Ministry of Social Development.
The meeting will be held at the usual time 12:30pm to 2:30pm in the lounge off the hall behind St Judes Church, 68 Freyberg St, Lyall Bay.
